Currency
|
The currency used in Thailand is the Baht (THB). The note with the largest value is a note of 1000, then 500, 100, 50, 20, 10. A note of 1000 is equal to around 20 Euro or around 25 USD. Then they have several coins, 10 (looks like 2 Euro), 5 and 2 and 1 (silver colour coins) and very small 50 and 25 satang coins (copper-coloured). 2 pieces of 50 satang is equal to one baht. |
Meaning of the Thai Flag |
The Thai flag consists of five horizontal bands. Red (top), white, blue (double width), white, and red. These three colors have the following meanings: red signifies the life-blood of Thai people, white symbolizes the purity of Buddhism (the national religion) and the dominant blue stripe represents the monarchy and the important part it plays in the daily life of the Thai people. |
