Suan Rotfai This is a park close to Chatuchak market. It is a good place to go and ride a bicycle with your kids. They have many sizes of bikes for rent in front of the park, including child seats. In the park there is a butterfly garden, a miniature traffic place, canoes, a library and a swimingpool. I really enjoyed this place.

Siam Ocean World Siam Ocean World consists of small sized and bigger sized aquariums with various fish and other sea creatures. Even though it is maybe a bit bigger than other aquariums, one should not expect something huge. If you have been in other aquariums before, than it is not really new, but for kids it might be exciting. Kids smaller than 80 cm. do not pay any entry. Adults pay 450 THB and kids 280 THB.

Children's discovery museum Bangkok A informal and educational museum for children of all ages providing an effective and high-quality learning experience for children. The museum is located opposite Chatuchak Weekend Market. The link to the official website shows you the variety of sections that are present in the museum.

• Suan Siam This is a very big water park. If your kid likes water, swimming, then this is a great place to go. Best though is to go on a normal week day, as it can be very croudy on week-ends and holidays. In a normal day, it is rather quiet, so let your son or daughter take a friend and they will be happy for many hours. There are also playgrounds and an open zoo. Please click on the link to their website to see some pictures and more information. To go there: best to take a taxi and say 'Suan Siam'. It is around half an hour by taxi from the center of Bangkok.
• Dreamworld is a medium sized park that is located around 30 to 45 minutes from the center of Bangkok. The park has several different kind of attractions including an artificial snow world (very cold). The park is most suitable for small children up to children of around 12 years old.

• Peuan Deratchan is a mini zoo and restaurant, which offer a unique blend of a very natural setting, rare animals high quality Thai food. Visitors to Peuan Deratchan will be delighted to be able, for the first time, to touch and play with, as well as to feed many of the tame and colorful animals. Another good aspect of this zoo is that children can run and play, while the parents enjoy their food and drinks with family and friends. The zoo is located in the northern part of Bangkok. You will find a map on their website. We stayed here for around two hours. My daughter would have loved to stay even longer, but she really loves animals (happy to touch some snakes)
  
• Dusit Zoo (Khao Din) This popular zoo (government Owned) is considered both a public park and a zoo. As with zoos, it is in general that it makes kids laugh and happy. This zoo has been renovated and looks nice. It is inside Bangkok and very cheap to enter (30 Thb for an adult and 10 Thb for a kid) They also have foot-paddle boats and some play areas for small children. Dusit Zoo is located at:  71 Rama V Road, Dusit, Bangkok. When going by taxi, ask for 'Suan Dusit' (you could take the Skytrain first upto Victory Monument and then take the taxi to save time in traffic)
  
• Snake farm As the name already indicates, this is a place with snakes (Cobras, King Cobras, Banded Kraits, Vipers, etc.) It is a small farm/zoo but if you want to take a short day trip, then this could be exciting. There is also a show (snakes are "milked" (their venom extracted) at 11a.m. (and 15:30 p.m. in weekdays only). In the week-end, the farm closes at 12:00 so don't get there too late, on week days the farm closes at 16:30 p.m.
  
• Safari World is a big park that can keep you busy all day long (it is however one of the more expensive parks in Bangkok too). The park is devided in two parts (Safari Park and Marine Park) and for each of them you have to get separate entrance tickets. In Safari Park, you will drive your own car (or an air-conditioned coach ride) and drive between the animals. In the Marine Park there are many animal shows at different times. If you plan to visit the park, I would advise you to go to the park early as otherwise you would pay the full price, but would not have seen so many things.
  
• Crocodile Farm is a very known zoo in Samut Prakarn (around 30 Km. South east of Bangkok in direction of Ancient City). Besides the numerous crocodiles, there are also other animals (elephants, gibbons, lions, camels, leopards, monkeys, birds, kangaroos and snakes).

Erawan Museum This is a museum for all ages. The museum, The three-headed elephant, is located South east of Bangkok (Map to Erawan Museum). This museum is very impressive and worth a visit. Just have youself surprised. The museum is also on its way to Crocodile farm and Ancient City, and you could maybe combine the visit with one of these other places.

Ancient City This is a very nice park to go to, it represents Thailand in small with many old buildings that really excist(ed) in Thailand (some have disappeared but can still be seen here). The park is very big and very green. If you like a walk in a fresh environment or a bicycle ride with places to take very nice pictures, this is a good place to go. Cars can access the park (can ride through as the park is really very big.)

Is a nice place for your child to spent some time in one of their fun programme classes or just in their center while you might go shopping. Programmes are available for children from 3 months till 6 years. You can also use the center as drop in, paying 250 THB/hour, or mother day out at 750 THB for a full day. Some of their fun programmes are: Kido arts & Cooking (to be reserved in advance); Kido science & numbers; Kido music & more. Another nice aspect of Kido is that they provide parental comfort and peace of mind by allowing parents to view their child on line through a webcam that is available in each of Kido's programme rooms. This opportunity is available though a password given to you by Kido. Kido is located on the 6th floor of Central world close to Toys R us, and next to the escalator coming down from the Food Hall. Another Kido is located in the Q House Lumpini on the 2nd floor.
