Bangkok has many places to go for shopping. There are a lot of shopping malls/plaza's and there are also a lot of markets and just along the streets a lot of shopping can also be done.
Upper class Shopping (many brands like Chanel, Fendi...)
  • Central World Plaza, originally known as the World Trade Center, this is Bangkok's largest downtown mall, containing many trendy shops and also a cinema.
  • Siam Paragon, just like Central World Plaza, this is also a very big and trendy shopping mall. High fashion brand boutiques and even cars like Porsches and Ferraris. It is also know for "The Siam Ocean World. It has a 15 screen cinema and also a bowling alley. Siam Paragon is easy to reach with the BTS, exit Siam Station.
  • Emporium, This place was the first kind of bigger luxurious shopping Center that was build. It is still nice now, but smaller then the first two mentioned. Also this Center has many high class shops and a Cinema. Also very easy to reach by BTS, exit Phrom Phong Station.
  • Siam Center, next to Siam Paragon, is the first shopping complex that has been well known for already over 30 years. Recently it has undergone some renovations, so it does not look old at all. It is known as a trendy fashion venue for the young trendsetters.
  • Gaysorn, located opposite of Central World Plaza. Not an enormous shopping mall, but it still has 5 levels. Here you can almost only find chic international brands (Gucci, Dior, Lacroix...). It is nice and quiet and if you are looking for these kind of brands, no need to get tired as it is not very hard to find where the various brands are located. In Gaysorn you can also find home decor products. Also at Christmas time, there is always a very big (huge) and beautifully decorated Christmas tree that is worth a visit. BTS Exit Chidlom, then you still need to walk a bit on the walking bridge that finally has a straight entry into Gaysorn Plaza. Gaysorn's website product list.
  • Peninsula Plaza, another smaller (still around 60 boutiques though) Plaza, with many nice boutiques like Versace, Gucci, Cartier,... there is also a cute shop with items for children. BTS exit Rajadamri Station.
  • Central Chidlom, this is the Central with most of the high brands available (more than other central department stores). It is well located at the BTS exit Chidlom, exit straight into Central Chidlom.
